"They have a sense of refinement and natural feeling

The Jerusalem Quartet
Founded in 1993 under the auspices of
the Jerusalem Music Center (Mishkenot Sha'ananim) and
the America-Israel Cultural Foundation in co-operation
with the Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music, the
Jerusalem Quartet was mentored by such illustrious
musicians as the late Isaac Stern and the Amadeus
Quartet. Although their extraordinary gift was
recognized early in Israel, their rise to
international acclaim has been nothing less than
meteoric - leading to their own Beethoven series at
the Louvre in Paris , regular appearances in Wigmore
Hall's Masterworks series, and concerts in Europe this
season with Mitsuko Uchida.
The Jerusalem Quartet has also performed alongside
such eminent musicians as Jessye Norman, Daniel
Barenboim, Joseph Kalichstein, Elena Bashkirova, Tabea
Zimmermann, Natalia Gutman, Itamar Golan, Natalie
Clein and Boris Pergamenshikov.
They are frequent visitors to London's Wigmore Hall ,
Amsterdam Concertgebouw and the Herkulessaal Munich
and have also performed at the Berlin Konzerthaus,
Dvorak Hall Prague, Zurich Tonhalle, Vienna
Konzerthaus, Salzburg Mozarteum, Carnegie Hall,
Washington's Kennedy Center, in Florida, Cleveland,
San Francisco, and at Ravinia Festival's 'Rising
Stars' series in Chicago. Critically acclaimed tours
of Italy, Japan, South Africa, Australia and New
Zealand have led to immediate re-invitation. This is
the ensemble's first appearance in Denver.
