Cynthia Heller Joins JFS as
Rafael Spiritual Healing
Center Coordinator
DENVER — February 27, 2007 —
Jewish Family Service of
Colorado is pleased to
announce that Cynthia Heller
recently joined the staff as
coordinator of the Rafael
Spiritual Healing Center (RSHC).
RSHC is a welcoming place that
offers programs, spiritual
bereavement support groups,
counseling, resources, and
referrals. It provides both
spiritual and psychological
support for those facing
issues associated with death,
grief, chronic illness and
caregiver support.

Collins' city council how you
feel about them removing the
Menorah from the official city
holiday display, which
features Christmas trees and
wreaths.
Here's what has happened
On Tuesday, July 11th, the
Fort Collins City Council met
to study whether they should
remove the Menorah from the
city's holiday display, which
features a Christmas tree and
wreaths.
This in Fort Collins, home to
the hate flyers that were
distributed in parking lots on
CSU's campus.

JFS Receives Susan G. Komen
Breast Cancer Foundation Grant
for Another Pair of Hands
Program provides homemaker
services to people living with
cancer
DENVER - April 11, 2006 - The
Denver Metropolitan Affiliate
of the Susan G. Komen Breast
Cancer Foundation recently
awarded Jewish Family Service
of Colorado (JFS) a grant of
$42,375 to support Another
Pair of Hands. This program -
part of the agency's Solutions
for Seniors/Care Connection
Department -- provides
frequent and affordable
homemaker and care management
services to individuals of all
faiths living with cancer. The
Komen Foundation grant will be
used to provide services to
clients facing the challenge
of living with breast cancer.

Rafael Spiritual Healing Center Offers Support for
Denver's Grief and Illness Stricken
Jewish Family Service of Colorado Launches Healing
Center for Support and Strength in Times of Crisis.
DENVER - June 24, 2005 - Jewish Family Service of
Colorado (JFS), a human service agency serving
greater Denver, is now offering enrollment for two
Rafael Spiritual Healing Center support groups.
The first, a bereavement group, will help those
dealing with the death of a loved one. The second,
a chronic illness group, will offer support and
strength for those who are dealing with chronic
illness. Both groups are now open for enrollment
to anyone in the Denver community.

Miriam
Brewer won the art contest. The Celebrate
Denver! poster contest was in conjunction with the
grand re-opening and expansion of the Colorado
Convention Center on Dec 9th. It was a gala city-wide
celebration, with music and art. The contest was open
to all Front Range schools. Miriam won the the 12th
grade entry - Celebrate Denver. She won a
$500.00 scholarship toward higher education from Bank
